Bookings for the new Tata Punch EV are now open through Tata Motors Nepal's online portal with a reservation fee of Rs 25,000. The price of the Punch EV will be announced at the upcoming NADA Autoshow on August 27, 2024, with estimates ranging from Rs 35 lakh to Rs 42 lakh.
According to the company's website, pre-bookings are available for the Punch EV's long-range (LR) variant, which will come in two trims: Empowered LR and Empowered +S LR.
The Long Range variant is equipped with a 35 kWh battery pack that delivers 90 kW of power and 190 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in under 9.5 seconds. In terms of range, it offers up to 421 km as per MIDC (under Modified Indian Driving Cycle), with an estimated real-world range of 270-290 km.
The Punch EV is Tata Motors' fourth all-electric vehicle and its second electric SUV. It is built on Tata Motors' new Gen 2 Acti.ev architecture (pronounced ‘active’).
Key features of the Punch EV include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree surround-view camera, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by Harman. The Punch EV will be available in five exterior colors.
Additional features include an air purifier, single-pane sunroof, cruise control, wireless mobile connectivity, and six airbags as standard across all variants. The Punch EV has also received a 5-star safety rating under Bharat-NCAP.
The Punch EV offers a water-wading capacity of 350 mm and an unladen ground clearance of 190 mm.
